Bush Babies: Wildlife Conservation and Education in South Africa
The Black Mambas, an unarmed, all female anti-poaching ranger unit in South Africa began the Bush Babies in 2015. To minimize poaching, they sought to educate the children of the community on conservation, and bring them closer to the nature that surrounds them.
Olivia Lockett went to check out the efforts of the Black Mambas and the Bush Babies in 2025. All video, photos, and writing are by her.
